Sneak Peak of the Felted Opposum

I just love this little guy. I didn't get a chance to work on him today as I had my youngest home with me, but I wanted to let you see him. What do you think?

I think he needs a bit more "body". The wool I am using on the gray portion of the body had lots of REALLY long fiber in it. Very different.

Hopefully he (and his environment) will be finished tomorrow. I don't know where to post him for sale. Nothing seems to be moving for me again. I like to think it is because I will be asked to do a show soon and will need the stock in order to do so. That's my story and I'm sticking to it!

Happy everything!

Theresa

  4. when I lived in Miami we once had a baby "possum" in the little tree in our courtyard, no mama in site, so we had to "catch 'em" and take him to a little rescue place that didn't have enough funds to come "get 'um" - he hissed and spit and showed his teeth - YOURS IS SOOOO MUCH CUTER! love your shop and your blog - we're neighbors I'm in Orange, come on over and visit me sometime:

  5. Theresa he is so cute .... way cuter then the real thing. We had one in our yard last year and it scared me to death. I was looking in your shop the other day and noticed we are kinda neighbors. I live in the inland empire now but I grew up in Cerritos. LOL I just notice you had another neighbor comment. Wish I was still in Cerritos we could of met at Starbuck with our needles and wool and had some fun. :)

  9. Thanks! The wool roving had lots of long fibers in it. It wasn't very easy to shape, but the end result it kind of fun!
