Furious!

Either my mailman did it again or there is a thief afoot. My new set of heat set oils did NOT arrive when the post office says it did.

Their paperwork says it was delivered at 10:42. I was home at 10:42.
My door was open. (Yes, I live in SoCal, so it was about 75 degrees.)
I didn't leave the house until 11:10.

I DID, however, receive all of my next door neighbors mail. Again. Just like I do about once a month. I had no mail in my box for me at all.

Nada.

Zip.

Zilch.

I am hoping that whoever has it will return it. Sometimes I'll get my "lost" mail weeks later.

If it was stolen, I am probably out of luck. What a sad waste. The thief wouldn't know what to do with the paint. *sigh*

We shall see. I am just praying that I am not $50 poorer. I really needed that paint! My elves are sitting here waiting.

OK. My attitude is now adjusted. I am choosing to take a deep breath and move on.

Until next time, may only good things happen in your world.

Theresa

  1. Guess what? The minute after I wrote this blog, the doorbell rang. The next door neighbor brought over all of the mail, including 4 bank statements, birthday cards for my husband, and my PAINTS! Hooray!!!!!
THAT was lucky! Now if I could only locate the lipstick I bought yesterday that didn't make it home in my bag.....
    Happy days to all!

  2. Yay!!! I'm so delighted to hear this good news... I was just about to start on a terrible rant about 'who would do such a thing?' I could just imagine your frustration... when I leave ordering more wool too late and have to wait for it to arrive to finish my project I just about camp out at the post box, asking anyone who walks past if they happen to have SEEN the postman. So glad you can get to your painting now!
And, once again, you had me in stitches with your tags... you are so funny!
    Blessings and magic.

  3. Yeah, I can relate. I hate to say it but my mail carrier is a moron. She turns the engine off at each house and restarts it again--this is a typical neighborhood with a house every 20 feet away from the other house! Then, she comes to the door with a package and even though she knows I work at home, she doesn't ring or knock. I watch her leave a note on the door and walk away with my box without trying to see if anyone was home. Next day, I have to go stand in line at the post office to pick it up. It seems like if you take the time to write out a slip and put it on the door, you could have rung the bell and hand it to someone. Once, I chased her down the driveway and got the box from her. She was embarrassed, but still does it. No Xmas gift for her!

  4. Call the Postmaster and complain. They can do something about it so it doesn't happen again. I'm glad you got your package--happy painting as Bob Ross would say :)
