Well, do we like background or is it too distracting?
I can't decide!
This is a Tomten I needle felted from wool.
Tomten live in haylofts. They visit with the farm animals through the long winters and remind them that summer is coming.
I think I like the way he looks as he stands in the snow outside of the main house.
The background is a bit bright when the lighting is more direct, but I don't know if that is a bad thing or not.
Opinions would be appreciated. I value your thoughts!
Until next time, happy weekending!
Theresa
I like the bottom picture with less background.
ReplyDeleteTry hanging a layer of fine netting in front of the background, it may help to tone it down a bit. The netting will give a hazy look , a sense of distance to the background. I suggest this as opposed to toning it down with paint because it is easily changed.
This is a trick used in museums as well as in old Hollywood movies!
I like the background alot, but after reading Len aboves comment, i'm wondering how that would look too. I love your little tomten friend! have a great weekend!
